Hi, I'M ERIN!
I am an experienced educator working to transform math learning into a positive and meaningful journey.
This was my motivation for founding Roots and Wings Math in 2024. With over 19 years of experience in teaching and school leadership and a Master’s degree in Teaching Mathematics, I’m passionate about helping parents and educators create positive, lasting math experiences that empower every learner.
The research around early math skills clearly shows that kids who enter kindergarten with strong math skills do well for years to come - and those that are shaky when they start school are very likely be struggling all the way through school. Yet no one talks about this, as we certainly don't get guidance on what we should be doing with our preschool kids to set them up for math success.
That's where I come in. Through Roots and Wings Math, I aim to equip parents with the tools and strategies to help every child develop both the roots to build a strong foundation and the wings to soar with confidence in math.
